Italian trees and flowers to be planted in Osh’s central square

The local authorities in both cities have revealed how many flowers will adorn Bishkek and Osh this year.

Daisies have begun to bloom on the streets of Osh. Early spring flowers have now been planted in six districts of the city, creating vibrant highlights in the urban landscape.

According to the plan of the Osh City Greenery and Beautification Combine, 1.5 million annual flowers will be planted in the city this year. So far, around 20,000 daisies have already been planted, delighting residents with their blooms.

Particular attention is being paid to the city’s central square, where the green space is being renewed and a modern landscape design is being created. Irrigation systems are being installed here, and ornamental shrubs, thuja trees, lawns and flowers brought from Italy are being planted. The seedlings are grown in the company’s special greenhouses and will later be planted in other parts of the city. This work is aimed at beautifying the city and creating a pleasant environment for residents and visitors.

The capital is also actively preparing for the spring bloom. This year, 2 million annual plants will be planted in Bishkek; the seedlings are currently in the greenhouses of the ‘Zelenkhoz’ municipal enterprise. Since autumn, 230,000 tulip bulbs have been planted in the city, and the first flowers are already delighting residents with their bright colours.
