Of the 129 million KGS allocated to the drinking water project, around 50 million KGS have been spent

In the Talas Region, the implementation of a project to provide the population with clean drinking water – for which 129 million KGS have been earmarked – has been delayed. This was reported by MP Meder Chotonov at a session of the Jogorku Kenesh on 23 September.

According to him, the project is being carried out in the village of Kara-Say in the Aitmatov District. To date, work worth approximately 50 million KGS has been completed, but the project has not yet been fully finished.

The MP called for the pace of work on the project to be accelerated.

Furthermore, Meder Chotonov drew attention to other infrastructure issues in the Talas region. In particular, he noted that the school in the village of Mai Bakay in the Atin district has still not been put into operation.

He also stated that there are no internal roads in the village of Zhayylgan in the Manas district.
