05/15/2026, 11:22The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has amended the procedure for selecting the operator of the national goods labelling and traceability system.
According to the resolution, the amendments have been made to the document ‘On the Approval of the Regulations for the Selection of the Operator (Administrator) of the National System for the Labelling and Traceability of Labelled Goods in the Kyrgyz Republic’, which was approved back in May 2020.
The selection of the national operator will now be carried out by an interdepartmental commission, the composition of which will be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
At the same time, a provision has been added to the document stating that a competitive selection process may not be held. This is possible if a state body or an organisation with state participation is designated as the national operator by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers upon the proposal of the authorised tax authority.
Furthermore, paragraph 31 of the current regulation has been repealed.
The resolution will come into force ten days after its official publication.
