Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Kazakhstan to take part in the summit of Turkic states

On 15 May, Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit to take part in the informal summit of heads of state of the Organisation of Turkic States.

The head of state’s aircraft landed at Hazret Sultan International Airport in Turkestan. The President of Kyrgyzstan was met by Kazakhstan’s State Adviser Yerlan Karin and other officials.

The central theme of the summit will be artificial intelligence and digital development. The event will be attended by the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of observer states and the organisation’s Secretary-General.

Sadyr Zhaparov is expected to present Kyrgyzstan’s experience in the field of digital transformation, the development of e-government services and digital education. Particular attention will be paid to the legislative regulation of digital processes and the implementation of state digital platforms.

The summit is also set to discuss joint projects between the TCS countries, including the creation of a digital transport corridor, the introduction of electronic documents for international freight transport, and the development of cooperation in the digital economy.

The Presidential Administration noted that the summit will be one of the steps towards strengthening cooperation between Turkic states in the field of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
