03/10/2026, 12:50The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has amended the decree on the temporary ban on the export of oil and petroleum products outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. The relevant decision was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
The changes were made to Government Resolution No. 66 of March 1, 2021, which regulates the export of oil and petroleum products from the country. According to the new version of the document, the ban on exports outside the EAEU still applies to oil and a number of petroleum products transported by road and rail.
However, certain types of fuel intended for the country's processing enterprises are exempt from the restriction. These include AI-92 (K-2) and AI-80 gasoline, diesel fuel (K-2), naphtha, as well as fuel oil and heating fuel produced by domestic oil refineries.
The document also specifies that the exceptions apply to the enterprises of China Petroleum Company “Junda” and Kyrgyzneftegaz, which operate oil refining facilities.
The resolution comes into force on the day of its official publication.
It should be recalled that against the backdrop of the conflict between Iran and Israel, world oil prices have risen, and experts predict further volatility in energy prices. This makes the issue of fuel export regulation particularly relevant for Kyrgyzstan.
