The Cabinet of Ministers supported increasing the capacity of renewable energy facilities to 50 MW

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers with the participation of the heads of the Presidential Administration, members of the government, and authorized representatives in the regions.

The key issue on the agenda was the consideration of a draft law amending the Law “On Electric Power Industry,” aimed at developing renewable energy sources. The document provides for an increase in the maximum capacity of facilities built using renewable energy sources from 30 to 50 MW.

This measure is expected to attract larger investors to the industry, accelerate the implementation of energy projects, and expand the use of green generation. Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev presented a report on the matter, after which the initiative was supported by members of the Cabinet.

In addition, the meeting reviewed the results of the implementation of the Cabinet's Action Plan for 2025. A report was presented by Nurbek Tashbekov, Head of the Political and Economic Research Department of the Presidential Administration.

Special attention was paid to executive discipline in state bodies, regional offices, and the mayor's offices of Bishkek and Osh. Based on the results of an analysis of the activities of a number of departments, possible disciplinary measures were announced.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev reminded that the country has a system for evaluating the implementation of the Action Plan, on the basis of which the effectiveness of state bodies is analyzed annually.

“Our goal is not just to give an assessment, but to ensure the high-quality implementation of the National Development Program. Strengthening executive discipline and supporting strategic projects, including the development of renewable energy, are key conditions for accelerating socio-economic growth and improving the well-being of citizens,” the head of the Cabinet emphasized.
