The gender gap in government agencies became particularly noticeable at the start of 2025

At the beginning of 2025, the employment structure in government agencies once again showed a familiar imbalance. Some departments are almost entirely male, while others are predominantly female. And this contrast is becoming increasingly striking.

The most “male-dominated” government agencies remain almost unchanged. In the State Customs Service, the proportion of men reaches 82%. In the Prosecutor General's Office, it is 79%. More than 76% of employees in the Chamber of Accounts are men. In the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the figure is 72%. The picture is similar in other law enforcement and infrastructure agencies: male dominance has become the unspoken norm.

But there is also a flip side. A number of civilian agencies have a clear female majority. In the Ministry of Health, the proportion of women exceeds 72%. In the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation, it is about 61%. The National Statistical Committee shows about 74%. In the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, it is more than 75%. In the Ministry of Education and Science, it is about 67%.
