How foreigners can legalise their stay in the Kyrgyz Republic before 10 June. Guide

Until 10 June 2025, foreigners and stateless persons who are in Kyrgyzstan illegally can legalise their stay without fines and without the risk of deportation. Also, until this date, it is possible to leave the country voluntarily without paying a fine for violating the terms of stay.

To legalise their status, they must have a valid passport, contact the appropriate authority and submit the necessary documents. Depending on the purpose, this may be: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, if a visa is required; the Ministry of Labour and Migration, if a residence permit is being applied for; or the Population Service Centres (TsON ‘Kyzmat’) for registration at the place of residence.

You also need to provide grounds for staying in the country (e.g. work, study, family reunification) and obtain a certificate from the police (ROVD) stating that there are no reasons for refusing legalisation.

All services can be obtained online: for visas and permits — evisa.e-gov.kg, for registration — ereg.e-gov.kg.

The authorities urge you to take advantage of this opportunity and submit your documents before 10 June.
