President Sadyr Zhaparov held talks today in Cholpon-Ata with Barry For, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Seychelles. The parties discussed investment, tourism and digital cooperation.

President Sadyr Zhaparov of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting in Cholpon-Ata with Barry For, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Seychelles, during which the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation. The main focus was on expanding economic ties, political dialogue and seeking new opportunities in the fields of investment, tourism and digital technologies.

Kyrgyzstan is stepping up its foreign policy beyond the region, focusing on new markets and partners, including African countries.

Previously, cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Seychelles had been limited. However, on 4 May, the eve of the talks, an agreement on the mutual abolition of visas for short-term travel was signed following a meeting of the foreign ministers.
