‘Kant-Tazalyk’ fined 63,000 KGS for environmental offences

Inspectors from the Chui Regional Directorate of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service under the Ministry of Natural Resources identified breaches in the operations of the ‘Kant-Tazalyk’ municipal enterprise and the Kant City Council.

During a routine inspection of the enterprise’s vehicle fleet, it was established that the requirements of legislation on air quality protection had been breached. As a result, ‘Kant-Tazalyk’ was fined 46,000 KGS.

Furthermore, following complaints from local residents, inspectors carried out an on-site inspection regarding the storage of waste on 50 Years of the October Revolution Street.
A report was drawn up regarding this incident against the municipal enterprise and Kant City Council, and a fine of 17,000 KGS was imposed.

The total amount of fines amounted to 63,000 KGS. Kant City Council has now organised the clean-up of the area in question, to be carried out by the municipal enterprise ‘Kant-Tazalyk’.
