Potatoes in Kyrgyzstan rose in price by 17.5% over the year

The average consumer price for potatoes in Kyrgyzstan in December 2025 was 52.42 KGS per kilogram, which is 17.5% higher than in December 2024 (44.64 KGS). This is evidenced by data from the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The highest price level during the year was recorded in June — 65.02 KGS per kilogram. For comparison, in June 2024, the average cost of potatoes was 45.17 KGS. In the following months, from July to October, prices gradually declined, but by the end of the year they remained significantly higher than the previous year.

According to statistics, the increase in the cost of potatoes in 2025 is associated with the influence of seasonal harvest factors, increased transport costs and general inflation in the food market.
