Kazakhstan and Belarus lead in inflation, Kyrgyzstan maintains moderate rates

In the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, the trend of rising prices and tariffs continued overall in June. This is evidenced by data from national statistical services.

The highest price growth among the EAEU countries was recorded in Kazakhstan, where consumer prices rose by 7% in the first half of the year, due to a 7.6% increase in food prices, a 4.5% increase in non-food prices and an 8.7% increase in service tariffs.

In Belarus, inflation for the same period was 5.4%.

In Kyrgyzstan, consumer prices have increased by 4% since the beginning of the year, with food prices rising by 5.6%. In June, the inflation rate was 0.7%, which was facilitated by higher food prices.

Russia recorded price growth of 3.8% since the beginning of the year, and in June consumer prices increased by 1.2%. The smallest changes in the first half of the year were observed in Armenia, with only +1.5% since the beginning of the year. Moreover, in June, consumer prices even fell by 1.3%.
