These figures were revealed by a study conducted by Ozon Kyrgyzstan in November 2025 among more than 600 respondents. Online platforms are becoming a key tool in the face of time constraints, busy December schedules and the desire to avoid the pre-holiday rush.
The role of marketplaces is particularly noticeable in the regions. Almost half of the inhabitants of the regions turn to online shopping due to the limited range of products in local shops. In the capital, however, time savings and convenience of delivery come to the fore. Users actively apply filters, read reviews and compare prices, turning gift shopping into a conscious and calm process rather than a race with a trolley through the shopping aisles.
The financial behaviour of Kyrgyzstanis remains restrained but rational. Most set a moderate budget for gifts, focusing on quality and practicality. Marketplaces help them stay within their budget through sales, free delivery and cashback. As a result, online shopping is becoming not just an alternative to offline shopping, but a way to save nerves, money and the New Year spirit.
