10/06/2025, 10:00Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC has announced an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, which will be held on 13 October in Bishkek. The agenda includes the approval of the liquidation of the Motor Transport Enterprise branch, as well as a number of other items, including the reorganisation of divisions and adjustments to the company's budget for 2025.
Interestingly, back in 2024, there were plans to create a transport and logistics centre at this branch in Balykchy in partnership with the Russian company International Transport Academy. At that time, the management of Kyrgyzaltyn announced the strategic importance of the project for the region and began construction of infrastructure, offices and a hotel for employees.
It is possible that the upcoming liquidation is only nominal — merely a legal formality for internal reorganisation. The company has not officially clarified whether this will mean abandoning the project or, on the contrary, transferring it to a new administrative basis.
