Kyrgyz companies to share out profits: who will pay shareholders the most?

The dividend season in Kyrgyzstan has officially begun. Following the conclusion of the annual general meetings, it has become clear which companies have decided to share their profits with shareholders for the 2025 financial year.

According to data from the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (BTS), 65 joint-stock companies will pay dividends. As is traditional, the size of the payments has proved to be extremely varied. Some companies have limited themselves to the minimum amount per share, whilst others are prepared to pay their shareholders thousands of KGS.

The clear leader in terms of dividend size is Kyrgyzenergostroy OJSC, which will pay out 7,000 KGS per share. Next comes Kyrgyzavtomash OJSC with a dividend of 6,063.66 KGS. Among the most generous companies are also the Dostuk Hotel (3,681.82 KGS), ‘Logic’ (3,585.99 KGS), ‘Ainur’ (3,500 KGS) and ‘Abank’ (3,427 KGS per share).

The main wave of payments is scheduled for June and July. In the coming weeks, dividends will begin to be paid by “Aalam”, “Avtosborny Zavod”, “Bishkeksut”, “TSUM-Holding”, Ak-Sut, Kyrgyzneftegaz, Central Depository, Trans-Soyuz-Asia, Ashar Capital, Bitrubi and other companies.

The latest payers this year will be state-owned and infrastructure companies. For example, OJSC ‘Airports of Kyrgyzstan’ will begin payments on 1 September, the ‘Kyrgyz Stock Exchange’ on 7 September, and OJSC ‘Directorate of Power Plants Under Construction’ on 10 September 2026.

Not all issuers have disclosed the exact dates for the transfer of funds. Thus, the start dates for payments are not yet available for Altyn-Suu, Bakai Bank, MFC InvesCor SA, KyrgyzTelecom and FinanceCreditBank.

Among financial institutions, attention is drawn to the decision by M-Bank, which will pay shareholders both cash dividends – 0.13194 KGS per share – and additional shares at a rate of 1.9424 shares for each existing share.

At the same time, some companies have limited themselves to symbolic payments. For example, shareholders of Kant Printing House will receive 0.0068 KGS per share, OJSC “Talas Basmakanas” – 0.00033 KGS, and OJSC “Kyrgyztelecom” – 0.046 KGS.

For investors, the dividend season remains one of the few occasions when it is possible to assess not only companies’ financial results but also their willingness to share their profits with minority shareholders.
