08/02/2026, 17:30The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, exchanged messages of congratulations to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The messages note that, over the past three decades, Kyrgyzstan and the UAE have built relations based on mutual respect, trust and shared economic interests.
The parties highlighted the development of political dialogue and the expansion of cooperation in trade, investment, transport, digital technologies, tourism and the humanitarian sphere. Both countries see significant potential for launching new joint initiatives and projects.
The Kyrgyz leadership reaffirmed its intention to continue strengthening ties with the UAE, which it described as one of the republic’s most reliable partners in the Persian Gulf region. The Emirati side, for its part, expressed its readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the interests of both states.
The parties expect that the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations will give new impetus to the Kyrgyz-Emirati partnership and the implementation of promising projects.
Trade between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE reached $176 million, or 15.38 billion KGS, in 2025.
Kyrgyzstan exported goods worth $123.98 million to the Emirates, whilst importing goods worth $52.03 million. As a result, the republic’s trade surplus amounted to almost $72 million.
Telephones and telecommunications equipment formed the bulk of Kyrgyzstan’s exports, accounting for $91.37 million, or almost 74 per cent of all shipments.
Vehicles, worth $16.56 million, led the structure of imports from the UAE, including 1,534 passenger cars worth $14.27 million. Kyrgyzstan also purchased telephones and telecommunications equipment worth $6.16 million, perfumes and cosmetics worth $5.6 million, mechanical equipment worth $4.43 million, and inorganic chemical products worth $3.2 million.
