The document aims to develop modern electricity storage technologies, increase the sustainability of the national energy system, and support Kyrgyzstan's transition to renewable energy sources.
As part of the cooperation, a pilot project was previously launched, under which a 100 kW energy storage device with a capacity of 200% was installed at OJSC “NESK” in test mode, providing 100 kW for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The system is powered by solar panels installed on the roof of the building, demonstrating the practical applicability of energy storage technologies in combination with renewable energy sources.
The memorandum was signed by Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev and representatives of three international companies:
These companies are among the world leaders in the production and implementation of energy storage solutions and are implementing large-scale renewable energy projects around the world.
The signing of the memorandum opens up opportunities for the implementation of industrial energy storage systems, improving the reliability of energy supply during peak periods, and integrating a greater volume of solar and wind generation.
