Kyrgyzstan to sign an agreement with the World Bank on Kambarata HPP-1 by the end of the year

The agreement with the World Bank on allocation of the first tranche for the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 will be signed by the end of this year. This was announced by Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov at a press conference in Bishkek.

According to him, Kambarata HPP-1 is an investment project that will move the economy forward.

“Now its feasibility study has been prepared, and in addition, a trilateral (Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan-ed.) draft interstate agreement is being developed. According to our forecasts, by the end of the year, an agreement on the allocation of the first tranche from the World Bank will be signed,” he said.
