Kyrgyzstan hopes to be removed from the EU blacklist

Representatives of Kyrgyzstan’s aviation industry have travelled to Brussels for talks on the country’s removal from the European Union’s blacklist. This was announced by Maksatbek Mamaev, Commercial Director of Kyrgyzstan Airports JSC.

He asked those present at the event to support the delegation and singled out the work of Daniyar Bostanov, Director of the State Agency for Civil Aviation.

“They flew to Brussels today. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out regarding removal from the blacklist”, — said Mamaev.

It should be noted that Kyrgyzstan is on the EU list restricting flights by a number of airlines into European airspace. In recent years, the country’s authorities have been implementing reforms in the aviation sector and modernising infrastructure to have the restrictions lifted.
