According to data from the National Statistics Committee on Kyrgyzstan’s exports, in January–February Kyrgyzstan exported 55.9 tonnes of sausage products worth $225,800. A year ago, volumes were significantly higher — 91.2 tonnes worth $320,000.
Despite a fall in exports of almost 39%, the average price rose from $3,500 to $4,000 per tonne. This is 15.2% higher than a year earlier.
Kazakhstan remains the main buyer. Kyrgyzstan exported 34.6 tonnes of products worth $126,800 there. The average price of shipments was around $3,700 per tonne — 5% higher than last year’s level.
At the same time, the most significant growth occurred in exports to Russia. Exports to Russia rose from 5.2 to 21.3 tonnes, whilst the average price increased by almost 19% — to $4,600 per tonne.
