09/05/2025, 13:41In August 2025, nearly 75,000 passenger cars were imported into Russia, of which 29,300 were new and 45,600 were used, according to experts from the Autostat agency.
China remains the main supplier of new cars, accounting for 71.8% of imports. However, Kyrgyzstan took second place, albeit with a noticeable gap, accounting for 11.3% of all deliveries, while Kazakhstan took third place (4.6%). Experts note that Kyrgyzstan's share in the structure of new car imports continues to grow from month to month.
Most of the European brands shipped from Kyrgyzstan to Russia are manufactured in factories in China. This supply route allows for adaptation to parallel import restrictions and simplifies the delivery of cars to the Russian market.
In the used car segment of the Russian market, Japan (43.3% of supplies), South Korea (22.8%) and China (17.2%). At the same time, Japan's share is gradually declining, while deliveries from Korea and China are growing.
It should be noted that the Chinese Changan leads in new cars with its UNI-S model, while Japanese Toyota and Honda Freed lead in used cars.
