One of the key items on the agenda was the development of the oil industry, in particular the implementation of the project at the Severny Soh and Chongara Galcha fields.
Kyrgyz-Turk-Neftegaz OJSC and Kyrgyztransneftegaz MU received License Agreement No. 2 for oil and gas production, carried out preparatory and repair work, as well as cleaning and drilling of seven wells. The construction of a new oil refinery is in its final stages—the facility is 99% complete and is scheduled to start operating in August 2025.
About 50 workers are already employed at the field, and once the project reaches full capacity, it is planned to create up to 400 permanent jobs. Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev noted that the development of such facilities plays a strategic role in ensuring the country's energy security, especially in the run-up to the autumn-winter period of 2025–2026.
