The discussion was attended by heads of relevant government agencies and representatives of the business community.
One of the key decisions was the introduction of a pilot project to partially reimburse exporters’ transport and logistics costs, which should reduce the cost of production in foreign markets and increase the competitiveness of domestic goods. A preferential credit line, ‘Export Contract Financing’, was also introduced to cover cash flow gaps and replenish working capital against insurance guarantees.
The meeting took the form of an open dialogue: entrepreneurs were able to put forward proposals directly on improving customs administration and removing technical barriers. Following the meeting, Daniyar Amangeldiev instructed the relevant authorities to trial all initiatives on a pilot basis and, after assessing their effectiveness, to implement them on a permanent basis.
