The building, with a total area of 10,000 square metres, was constructed between 1987 and 1989 and designed to accommodate 640 people; however, some of the premises are in a state of disrepair.
Previously, the facility’s equipment had been moved to the town of Balykchy, and the facility had not been used for a long time. Currently, on the initiative of the plenipotentiary representative of the Naryn Region, a project to establish a logistics centre on the site of the building is under consideration.
It is envisaged that the centre will become a key hub for the storage, processing and supply of the region’s agricultural produce, which will improve the efficiency of product distribution and support local producers.
