03/25/2026, 12:13On 25 March 2026, Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, met with residents of the village of Emgekchil in the Naryn Region. The meeting took place in accordance with instructions from President Sadyr Zhaparov and was dedicated to the prompt resolution of agricultural issues on the ground.
The participants paid particular attention to the issue of returning 634 hectares of land that had previously been converted into pasture. Residents noted that these plots are crucial for the development of local farming and the establishment of cooperatives. The Minister called for the swift adoption of legal decisions to ensure the land is returned to the villagers.
In addition, preparations for spring field work, the provision of seeds, the strengthening of veterinary services and the supply of medicines were discussed. Following the visit, Akunbekov emphasised that the main objective of state bodies is to serve the people, and that formal obstacles should not hinder the resolution of pressing issues.
