06/29/2026, 16:39The total volume of deposits in Kyrgyzstan’s commercial banks reached 866.2 billion KGS by the end of 2025. Over the course of the year, this figure rose by 46.2 per cent.
Deposits in the national currency saw the largest increase – 67.2 per cent. Deposits in foreign currency also rose, but by a smaller margin – 18.4 per cent.
At the same time, the number of bank accounts also increased. Over the year, their number rose by 38.6 per cent to reach 12.2 million.
This trend indicates that Kyrgyz citizens are saving money more frequently and keeping their savings in banks. It also points to growing confidence in the banking system.
