Chinese investors have presented a project for a nitrogen fertilizer plant in Kyrgyzstan

Chinese companies presented a project to build a modern nitrogen fertilizer production facility in Kyrgyzstan. The presentation took place during talks between Deputy Prime Minister Erlist Akunbekov and the heads of CIECC Planning and Design Research Co., Ltd., Beijing Huafu Engineering Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Construction New Energy Co., Ltd.

The Chinese companies proposed a project to establish a high-tech production facility for urea and other nitrogen fertilizers, aimed at supplying Kyrgyzstan’s domestic market.

Following the talks, the parties emphasized the initiative’s high investment potential. The project is expected to strengthen the country’s food security, reduce dependence on mineral fertilizer imports, supply domestic agricultural producers with these fertilizers, and create new production capacity in Kyrgyzstan’s industrial sector.

The talks took place as part of a working visit by a Kyrgyz delegation to China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
