The Head of State was briefed on the construction of internal roads and pavements. The Minister of Transport and Communications, Talantbek Soltobaev, noted that 340 million KGS have been allocated from the country’s Stabilisation Fund for this purpose.
The project covers the city’s key transport arteries: sections of Alymbek Datki Street (3.7 kilometres) and Kurmanzhan Datki Street (0.8 kilometres). The carriageways will be widened to four lanes, and new pavements stretching 9 kilometres, drainage channels and modern lighting will be installed.
As part of the comprehensive development of the city, Sadyr Zhaparov was also presented with projects to improve social and leisure infrastructure: the construction of a 120-place nursery and the major refurbishment of a park.
The Head of State then inspected the progress of construction on an additional teaching block for Tapyk Otunchiev School No. 2, designed to accommodate 275 pupils. Work is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
