Combanks increased lending volumes by 43%

Commercial bank lending in the Kyrgyz Republic grew by 43% in January-September 2025, according to analysts at the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

A year earlier, the figure grew by 35%. Consumer loans continued to make the largest contribution (30.7 percentage points) to lending dynamics.

The average interest rate on consumer loans in January-August was 21.5%, which is 2 percentage points lower than in the same period last year.

“We expect that the expansion of lending will continue to support high domestic demand in the medium term,” the bank's analysts write.
