The Housing Committee supported the transfer of housing to military families and the reform of higher education institutions of the SCNS

Today, June 9, the parliamentary committee for international affairs, defense, security and migration approved in the second reading two draft laws concerning the work of national security bodies and the housing rights of military families.

One of the documents is aimed at a more efficient use of budget funds, which are allocated for higher education for employees of national security bodies. This will help improve training and reduce unnecessary spending, GKNB Deputy Chairman Timur Shabdanbekov said.

The second bill concerns housing for military families. It proposes simplifying the procedure for transferring service apartments to the families of those who died in service, as well as securing their right to housing if a serviceman is discharged for cause before his death. In addition, it is proposed to relax the requirements for the period of residence, so that more families could count on state assistance in obtaining housing.

The SCNS explained that such measures will help better protect the rights of the military and their loved ones, as well as reduce bureaucracy in solving housing issues.
