04/30/2026, 16:36Officials from the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic uncovered the import of goods worth over 1 million KGS without the necessary accompanying documents.
The violation was recorded at the ‘Ak-Tilek’ checkpoint. During a spot check, a lorry carrying car parts, electrical appliances and other goods was stopped.
During the document check, suspicions of a breach of the law arose, and the vehicle was placed under control sealing. It was later established that the goods had been imported without the proper documentation.
The relevant procedural documents have been drawn up in relation to this incident. Administrative measures have been applied to the offenders, with fines imposed in accordance with the Kyrgyz Republic’s Code on Offences.
Furthermore, a desk-based tax audit will be conducted in relation to this incident, the results of which are expected to lead to the additional assessment of unpaid tax liabilities.
