01/22/2026, 09:20During operational and investigative activities, the State Committee for National Security established facts of corruption in the distribution of land plots by local government bodies in the Talas region.
According to the State Committee, by falsifying the decisions of the aiyl okmotu, 43 citizens were illegally allocated land plots with a total area of 10 hectares and 75 acres in the territory of the Kara-Buurinsky aiyl okmotu in the Aitmatovsky district. According to operational information, a total of 56 land plots were illegally allocated in a similar manner.
During the investigation, it was established that a specialist from the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources offered a bribe to an employee of the State Committee for National Security in order to stop the investigation and evade responsibility.
On January 20, 2026, he was caught red-handed while handing over 100,000 KGS. The suspect is currently being held in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are establishing the extent of the detainee's involvement in the identified facts, as well as identifying other officials who may have participated in the illegal scheme.
