Kyrgyzstan and China discussed railway and investments in Issyk-Kul

Deputy Minister Sanzhar Bolotov met with the Governor of Aksu County (XUAR, China) Adili Ali at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan. The main attention was paid to the expansion of exports of Kyrgyz agricultural products to China and the development of tourism co-operation. In particular, investments in hotel infrastructure in Issyk-Kul were discussed.

The topic of transport links was also touched upon. The prospects of building the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and improving road routes through the Bedel checkpoint were discussed. These projects are expected to strengthen the country's logistical capabilities.

The Kyrgyz side emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral partnership and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation.

  • Deposit de-dollarization in Kyrgyzstan is gaining momentum
