12/20/2025, 11:01On December 19, a business event was held in Urumqi aimed at establishing direct contacts between Kyrgyz and Chinese companies in the field of production and supply of building materials. The meeting was organized by the Trade Representation of Kyrgyzstan in China in conjunction with the Ministry of Construction of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was attended by representatives of more than 30 large construction and development companies in Kyrgyzstan interested in establishing direct supply channels and improving the quality of construction materials used. On the Chinese side, more than 70 manufacturers of construction materials and components from Urumqi joined the dialogue.
The main goal of the meeting was to create an effective platform for direct dialogue between the business communities of the two countries. Participants discussed production capabilities, technical specifications and product standards, as well as possible logistics schemes for supplies. It is expected that establishing direct contacts will reduce costs, increase competitiveness, and accelerate technological modernization in the Kyrgyz construction industry.
The event was held as part of the activities of the Kyrgyz-Chinese (XUAR) Center for Trade and Economic Cooperation, authorized by the Trade Representation in China. The center will operate on a permanent basis in conjunction with the Trade Representation of Kyrgyzstan.
