The main topic of the bilateral talks was, as usual, agricultural partnership, but a significant part of the visit was devoted to studying Azerbaijan's oil refining potential.
As part of the trip, the Kyrgyz delegation visited the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, Azerbaijan's largest enterprise, which is undergoing extensive modernization and increasing the depth of oil processing. Kyrgyzstan was presented with projects to improve energy efficiency, introduce modern environmental standards, and expand the range of petroleum products manufactured.
The parties discussed potential formats for cooperation, from direct fuel supplies to the exchange of technological expertise in the field of refining modernization and energy efficiency optimization.
The prospects for the development of logistics routes, including the Trans-Caspian corridor, were highlighted separately, as this could strengthen Kyrgyzstan's energy security and diversify its fuel import sources.
In addition, the delegation visited the Baku Shipyard, where cooperation in the field of marine technology and the possibility of building ferries for transport and logistics routes in the region were discussed. A visit was also made to the Kyrgyz Trade House in Baku, with an emphasis on expanding the range of domestic products and strengthening business contacts.
Following the meetings, the parties confirmed their intention to enrich their strategic partnership with specific projects in the agricultural sector, energy, transport, and trade.
