Kyrgyzstan discusses with the EU withdrawal from the aviation security blacklist

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev met with Andrei Carnelio Filipo, European Union representative on civil aviation security. The main topic of the talks was the development of Kyrgyzstan's aviation industry and the prospects of removing the country from the EU security blacklist.

Torobaev noted that under the leadership of the President, significant reforms have been carried out: funding has been increased, working conditions for employees of the aviation industry have been improved, and large-scale legislative changes have been initiated to meet international standards. Special attention was paid to Asman Airlines. The EU representative positively assessed the progress achieved and expressed readiness for further co-operation in improving safety standards.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue a constructive dialogue. Torobaev thanked the European representative for the visit and emphasised the importance of partnership in the development of aviation in Kyrgyzstan.
