Kyrgyzstan signs new economic agreements with Pakistan

On 4 December, Bakyt Sydykov signed a number of memoranda with Pakistan. The documents are aimed at developing trade, logistics and tourism between the countries.

As part of the state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Pakistan, Economy Minister Bakty Sydykov concluded several bilateral agreements. The purpose of the signed memoranda is to expand and deepen economic cooperation, improve logistics connectivity, promote tourism potential and develop bilateral trade mechanisms.

In particular, the following documents were signed:

  • Memorandum of Cooperation on the use of Pakistani ports to strengthen regional logistics connectivity.
  • Memorandum on expanding bilateral trade between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
  • Memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism between the governments of the two countries.
  • Memorandum on cooperation between the Ministries of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
