Kyrgyzstan presented the halal industry at Halal Expo – 2025

In Istanbul, representatives of the Centre for the Development of the Halal Industry, as well as domestic companies specialising in the production of halal and organic products, took part in Halal Expo – 2025 and the 11th World Halal Summit.

The exhibition is the largest international food trade platform, providing representatives of the halal sector with an opportunity to promote their services and products, as well as to increase trade and investment in this sector.

The aim of participating in the exhibition is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between the countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, as well as to create conditions for the production and export of competitive domestic and processing industry products to domestic and foreign markets in accordance with international standards and requirements for halal products.

The event was supported by the Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Istanbul, Chyngyz Toktobekov, with the assistance of the Kyrgyz Republic's trade representative in Turkey, Chyngyz Esengul uulu, the director of the State Agency ‘Centre for the Development of the Halal Industry’ under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Almaz Kayyrbekov, held a series of meetings with the heads of several authoritative international organisations with the aim of strengthening business relations in the halal industry.

The topic of discussion was the intensification of international cooperation with authoritative international institutions for the development of the halal industry in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the partnership of state accreditation bodies; the application and adaptation of existing Islamic standards in the Kyrgyz Republic; OIC/SMIIC and training of competent specialists (auditors, experts and inspectors) in the halal industry.

In addition, products from domestic manufacturers were presented at this event on behalf of the Kyrgyz side.

The exhibition stand of the Kyrgyz Republic was visited by the Minister of Customs and Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Omer Bolat, who noted the quality of Kyrgyz products.
