07/14/2025, 12:40Sultan Kermanliev has been dismissed from his post as mayor of Balykchy. The relevant order was signed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, in accordance with Article 71 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Law “On Local State Administration and Local Self-Government Bodies.”
Baatybek Zhantaev has been appointed the new mayor of Balykchy. The corresponding order was also signed by the president.
Appointed just two weeks ago, Kermaliyev held office for 14 days. The reasons for his sudden dismissal are not specified in the order.
It should be recalled that even before his appointment, Kermaliyev became famous on social media for installing statues of Greek gods on the beach in Balykchy.
