06/04/2025, 14:02During a scheduled meeting, Bishkek's Mayor Aibek Junushaliev addressed municipal services regarding the unwarranted closure of parking bays.
The Mayor specifically advised against employing the practice of closing parking bays on secondary roads, a measure previously adopted on central and major streets.
"Until we are fully equipped with adequate parking spaces, ensure comfortable conditions along the roadways," added the Mayor.
As a commendable example, he cited the Molodaya Gvardiya Boulevard and instructed the execution of explanatory work with business entities to parallel the organization of parking bays with road rehabilitation.
"If parking bays are closed to adhere to traffic rules, consider opening (reviewing) alternative sites," stated A. Junushaliev.
He expressed discontent over parking bays being opened only after active discussions on social media and complaints from residents, urging a preemptive approach.
