Bishkek City Council has terminated the Planetarium’s lease due to outstanding debts

Bishkek City Council has terminated the lease agreement for the Planetarium complex at 7 Togolok Moldo Street ahead of schedule due to outstanding rent payments. The relevant documents have been forwarded for the recovery of the debt and late payment penalties.

A plot of land measuring 0.414 hectares and premises covering 530.1 square metres were let in 2025 for a term of five years. However, the tenant failed to meet their obligations regarding timely payment.

The Municipal Property Commission has now decided to terminate the tenancy agreement. The City Council will continue to carry out an inventory of municipal property and promises to take action should any breaches of contract terms be identified.

The City Council has also warned residents not to purchase rights to municipal property or land leases from tenants without verifying the legality of the transaction. Upon termination of the main contract, the City Council will not be liable for any costs arising from such transactions.
