Net migration into Kyrgyzstan rose to 15,400 people

In 2025, net migration into Kyrgyzstan stood at 15,400 people, compared with 11,200 the previous year. Russia and Kazakhstan remain the main destinations for citizens leaving the country to take up permanent residence.

According to the National Statistics Committee, 17,900 people arrived in the republic, whilst 5,500 left. The net migration surplus has been maintained for the fourth consecutive year, and in 2025 it was recorded in all regions of the country for the first time.

At the same time, the number of people arriving in Kyrgyzstan to take up permanent residence is rising, whilst the number leaving for abroad is falling.
