10/11/2026, 16:18As part of the ‘Safe Country’ project, plans are in place to install over 20,000 CCTV cameras in Kyrgyzstan. These will help to detect crimes, offences and traffic violations.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the work is being carried out on the instructions of President Sadyr Zhaparov. The project aims to prevent crime and improve road safety.
The ministry notes that the introduction of digital technologies should help to strengthen public order.
