The Ministry of Finance aims to raise 1.7 billion KGS domestically by the end of the week

An auction for the placement of government treasury bonds will take place on Friday, 14 August. The maturity of the treasury securities offered to investors is five years. This has been announced by the National Bank.

In total, the Ministry of Finance plans to place government securities worth 1.7 billion KGS at the auction. The coupon rate on the bonds has been set at 6 per cent per annum. Coupon payments will be made twice a year – on 17 February and 17 August – until the bonds’ maturity date. According to the terms of the issue, this is scheduled for 2031.

It should be added that, as at 12 August, Kyrgyzstan’s debt in five-year treasury bills is estimated at 40.2 billion KGS, meaning that the Ministry of Finance holds less than 10 per cent of all liabilities to domestic creditors.
