The Ministry of Finance will once again offer government securities to investors following the June offerings, at a double-digit discount

On June 18, the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan will hold an auction to place 12-month government treasury bills totaling 300 million KGS.

This new issue will follow immediately after a series of government securities placements that took place in the first half of June. Earlier, the Ministry of Finance announced the placement of two-year government treasury bonds with a coupon rate of 17% per annum totaling 100 million KGS, and also conducted an additional off-auction placement of two-year bonds worth 250 million KGS with a yield of 13%.

As reported by “Akchabar”, on June 15, government securities were sold on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange at a significant discount to face value. Specifically, two-year treasury bonds were sold at 86.3 KGS with a face value of 100 KGS, corresponding to a discount of 13.7%.

The issue of 12-month government treasury bills was then sold at 90.32 KGS with a face value of 100 KGS, or at a discount of 9.68%.
