More than 80 vehicles were handed over to the Ministry of Defense

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev took part in the ceremony of handing over the keys to the vehicles to the Ministry of Defense.

On behalf of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev congratulated the Ministry of Defense on the acquisition of 81 new vehicles at the expense of the budget: 36 Chevrolet cars, 19 JAC T-6 cars,  18 Gazel vehicles, 5 shuttle buses, and 3 JAC Sunray minibuses.

“Among them are 19 JAC T-6 vehicles and 36 Chevrolet vehicles manufactured at the Tulpar Motors plant in Kyrgyzstan”, — he said, adding that the equipment being handed over today will increase the mobility of military units and ensure the safe and rapid movement of personnel.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev emphasized that the country's defense capabilities have been significantly strengthened in recent years. The budget of the armed forces has increased by more than 300% compared to 2018-2019. These funds are primarily directed towards strengthening the material and technical base, equipping the army with modern weapons and equipment, and developing the infrastructure of military units, military towns, and garrisons.

Modern weapons, military and special equipment have been purchased, including air defense systems and electronic warfare systems.

The head of the cabinet continued that the Ministry of Defense has successfully implemented the first stage of digitalization, optimizing document flow, civilian personnel accounting, and military registration processes. Currently, the electronic military registration system has been launched in pilot mode in five military commissariats, and by March of this year, it will be implemented in 25 more military commissariats. The process of digitizing military ID cards has begun.

The Prime Minister also touched upon social protection measures for military personnel. Currently: the daily compensation for renting accommodation in Bishkek has been increased to 500 KGS, and in the regions to 420 KGS; monthly compensation for mortgage housing is paid — 18,000 KGS for military personnel in Bishkek and 15,000 KGS in the regions; the state will provide compensation to military personnel with more than 20 years of service until the mortgage is repaid; Regardless of the region of service, military personnel will be given the opportunity to purchase mortgage housing in their chosen location. Through the State Mortgage Company, more than 900 apartments in buildings nearing completion will be provided to Ministry of Defense military personnel in the near future.
