07/14/2026, 17:25Mirbek Mambetaliyev, Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, has spoken about the size of his salary and the incomes of those working in the cultural sector.
According to him, he receives around 100,000 som ‘after tax’ each month, including all applicable allowances.
“My deputies receive around 70,000 soms. This includes all allowances and long-service pay. In addition, government bodies operate a civil service incentive fund, from which a monthly allowance of approximately 50 per cent of the basic salary is paid. With all these payments included, my salary amounts to around 100,000 som,” the minister said.
At the same time, he noted that the average wage for workers in the cultural sector is around 40,000 som, and following the pay rise, the minimum wage in the sector has reached 33,000 som.
