11/28/2025, 16:40During his working visit to Germany, Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Kanat Sagybaev held official meetings with the State Secretaries of the German Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of Economy. During the talks, the parties discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation and develop practical interaction in the areas of employment, migration, and social support.
The minister emphasized that Germany remains one of Kyrgyzstan's key partners in labor migration issues. He reported that from 2023 to October 1 of this year, 6,710 Kyrgyz students underwent vocational training in Germany.
“We see an opportunity to significantly expand employment opportunities for our citizens. This will give them new professional experience and their families a higher and more stable income at home,” he said.
Sagynbaev also spoke about plans to create a center for preliminary training of specialists. It will provide German language training, help students choose a specialty, and prepare documents for employment. The State Center for the Employment of Citizens Abroad will play an important role in this process.
“Such a system will speed up the processing of visas and permits,” the minister added.
The second area highlighted by the minister concerns migration policy. Kyrgyzstan has proposed that Germany conclude a separate readmission agreement, which will allow for the division of responsibilities between the parties, speed up the coordination of procedures, and increase the effectiveness of cooperation on the return of citizens.
Finally, the third area highlighted by the minister relates to social policy. Sagybaev recalled the existing partnership with the German company Ottobock, which specializes in prosthetic and orthopedic technologies.
"We attach great importance to the development of prosthetic and orthopedic care. In 2026, we plan to expand the partnership: purchasing components, training specialists, and providing methodological support," Kanat Sagynbayev concluded.
In conclusion, the minister emphasized that the proposed initiatives reflect the common interest of both countries in expanding cooperation.
