Ministry of Culture to allocate over 100 million KGS for musical instruments for schools in Kyrgyzstan

In 2026, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan will allocate over 100 million KGS to upgrade the facilities and equipment of music and art schools. This was announced by the Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliev.

The ministry noted that there are currently 101 music schools operating in Kyrgyzstan, as well as specialist colleges and higher education institutions training personnel for the cultural sector.

In addition, the programme to equip music schools with sets for vocal-instrumental ensembles (VIE) is continuing.

Last year, 21 sets were purchased and handed over. A further 31 sets are planned to be purchased in 2026.
