The Ministry of Defence did not receive weapons worth 244.6 million KGS

The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that it had identified losses in the Ministry of Defence amounting to more than 244 million KGS. The violations are related to the failure of one of the supplier companies to fulfil the terms of the contract.

As part of its work to identify and combat systemic corruption in the Ministry of Defence of the Kyrgyz Republic, the SCNS established that one of the arms suppliers had breached its contractual obligations.

According to an audit by the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the state suffered damages amounting to 244 million 587 thousand 870 KGS, equivalent to 2.7 million euros. The damages resulted from the failure to fulfil the terms of a contract concluded with the defence ministry.

As part of the criminal case and the operational and investigative measures carried out, the specified amount was fully reimbursed by the LLC.
